Boris Yakobson
Professor in Mechanical Engineeriing and Materials Science and Chemistry

Born in Moscow-USSR, US citizen. One son, Eugene. For details: "Who's Who in America" 55th Edition, 2001, and "Who is Who in Science and Engineering" 4th Edition, 1996 (Marquis, NJ)

Research Statement

Methods of theoretical condensed matter and chemical physics used for understanding/ predicting materials properties, and relationships between structure and function (strength, conductance, color, etc.) of nanoscale units. Advanced computations, simulation and visualization broadly assist this endeavor.
